What are the shirts like?

Currently all tees are printed on Gildan Ultra Cotton T's. Here's some information about these garments:

  • 6.1 oz
  • 100% preshrunk cotton
  • Double needle stitched collar, sleeve, and bottom hems.
  • Quarter-turned body
  • Generous Fit

What size do I need?

I hacked apart a sad looking sizing chart from the manufacturer's site. It's helpful and ugly.

How do I care for my shirt?

Husbrandry recommendations:

  • Turn shirt inside-out. Machine wash cold. Use gentle cycle unless heavily soiled.
  • Do not iron printed or embroidered areas.
  • To prevent shrinkage and maintain vibrancy, tumble dry on low heat setting.
  • Do not dryclean
  • Lay flat and drip dry for supreme preservation and a long life.
  • Love unconditionally

Why don't you carry my favorite size or style?

In the future I have plans to offer even more size and style options but for now this is the best I can do. You can always make requests through the contact page and if there's great demand for something I'll try my best to accommodate.

Are these just cheap iron-on designs done in your basement?

Well... no. My print-work is done by a very reputable company dedicated to t-shirt printing. The custom-drawn vector designs are applied using a silk screen process. The result is a clear, vibrant and durable piece of artwork you can wear.

How are shirts sent and what's the cost?

I prefer to send shirts with Canada Post Xpresspost. I found this method to be an ideal combination of speed and security (tracking). I can fit a single shirt in a small envelope and up to 3 in a large. For this reason, the best value is in ordering 2-3 shirts.

The cost per envelope varies between Western Canada, the rest of Canada and the United States. The shopping cart will reflect this. When your order ships, I will provide a tracking number to the email address you signed up with. Due to the higher costs for Xpresspost USA, I offer Americans the option to choose Surface shipping which does not include tracking.

Xpresspost includes electronic delivery confirmation which allows me to guarantee delivery. If for whatever reason your shirt is not delivered (as indicated by tracking the order) then I will send you another. I cannot make this guarantee when shipping Surface so please consider this when making your order.

For anyone ordering more than 3 shirts, please contact me directly to calculate shipping costs and to arrange payment. This includes group orders.

Costs are as follows and will appear when you're logged in. The cart needs to know where you live.

Western Canada (BC, AB, SK, MB)
Xpresspost. 2-4 business days, tracking number, delivery guarantee.

  • 1 shirt - $9
  • 2-3 shirts - $10

I hate charging shipping as much as you hate paying it. I do not profit from shipping charges. For the sake of transparency you can find the Xpresspost packages I use here.

I live in Calgary. Can I just pick up my shirt?

Of course! No shipping charges is also sweet...

Do you ship outside North America?

Yes! Due to excessive and variable shipping costs I prefer international buyers to contact me via email. I can then provide an accurate shipping quote and we can proceed from there if everyone's happy.

Is it safe to shop here?

Excellent question. The only details I gather here on my web site are shipping information so I can ship you your shirt. Your credit card number or PayPal login is handled by PayPal itself. Paypal is trusted worldwide and I have zero access to those details. I only receive notification when your order is processed. Then I send you the goods!

Umm... Fishbrains.com?

So what are the chances that fishbrains.com is also run by a guy named Brett? (Bret actually) The odds have to be small but it's true. No relation to Fishbrains.net but maybe send the guy fan-mail or something.

Do you have a fish tank?

I've had a few over the years. My issue seems to be getting them full of livestock before something forces me to tear it down! Click here to see my old 225 gallon where I came real close. Click here to see an older pic of my current 34 gallon cube of frags.
